IT HARDWARE PLI 2.0:32 LOCAL,GLOBAL PLAYERS SHOW INTEREST

Dell, Acer & Asus Come In | Apple & Samsung Stay Away

The government struck a rich haul in its attempt to get IT hardware and laptop makers to commit investments in India with almost all top global manufac turers barring Apple and Samsung agreeing to beef up production in the country directly or through domestic makers and suppliers. Those who will be investing in India include America's HP and Dell, Taiwanese Asus and Acer and Chinese Leno vo (through a local manufacturing partner)

The government increased the benefits under the scheme to Rs.17000 crore against Rs.7350/- crore earlier

The First Version of the Production –linked incentive PLI scheme for laptop, tablet and server makers had seen lukewarm response. It also stipulated a licensing regime on laptop,PC and desktop imports

To prod the companies to invest in India, the government had to not only sweeten the incentive scheme, but it stipulated a licensing regi me on laptop imports, somet hing that the industry had objected to initially but later agreed to as they were allo wed to freely ship their pro ducts till the end of October

A total of 32 companies have applied under the sche me and apart from the global brands, these include cunt collected from banks and houract manufacturers such as Rising Stars Hi-Tech and Flextronics. On the Indian side, those who have applied under the scheme include Dixon's Padget Electronics Optiemus Telecommunica tion, VVDN Technologies, Bhagwati Products, Neolyne Telecommunications Ltd, and Mirc Electronics

As per the  Ministryof Ccommunication and IT sector,India is likely to see an incremental production of around Rs 3.35 lakh crore, with expectations of  fresh investments of around Rs 2,430 crore. The expected direct employment is going to be around 75,000 personnel."  For the Indian IT sector.A major boost to the economy as well.

SUPER BLUE MOON ON 30 AUGUST 2023

Super Blue Moon is going to happen on August 30, 2023. People can witness this celestial event tomorrow. At what time Super Blue Moon will be visible? All the Sky gazers can witness this amazing event in the sky at 08:37 PM as it will be at its peak.

there are two different definitions for a Blue Moon. A seasonal Blue Moon is the third Full Moon of an astronomical season that has four Full Moons. A monthly Blue Moon is the second Full Moon in a calendar month with two Full Moons.

a Blue Moon will shine brightly in the night sky. It is a monthly Full Moon—the second Full Moon in August. And no, it will not turn blue.

CHANDRAYAAN 3 ROVER CONFIRMS PRESENCE OF SULPHUR ON MOON

CHANDRAYAAN 3 ROVER CONFIRMS PRESENCE OF SULPHUR ON MOON

The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) on Tuesday evening announced that the payload or instruments aboard the Pragyan rover of the Chan- dravaan-3 mission has confirmed the presence of sulphur and other chemical elements, as expected, on the lunar surface near the south pole, and that the search for hydro- gen is underway.

"Laser-Induced Breakdown Spec troscope (LIBS) instrument on- board the rover unambiguously confirms the presence of sulphur on the lunar surface near the south pole, through first-ever in-situ mea surements," Isro said.

Other chemical elements have also detected, as expected, the space been d agency said Search for hydrogen is underway it said.

The other chemical elements that have been detected on the lunar sur face are aluminium, calcium, iron, chromium, titanium, manganese, silicon, and oxygen.

The LIBS instrument was devel- oped at the Laboratory for Electro Optics Systems (LEOS)/Isro, Benga Juru LIBS is a scientific technique that analyses the composition of materials by exposing them to in-tense laser pulses.

A high-energy laser pulse is focused onto the surface of a materi al, such as a rock or soil. The laser pulse generates an extremely hot and localised plasma.

The collected plasma light is spec trally resolved and detected by de tectors such as Charge Coupled De- vices. Since each element emits a characteristic set of wavelengths of light when it's in a plasma state, the elemental composition of the material is determined.

The Chandrayaan 3 is the third lunar mission of India which suc cessfully land landed on on the moon on August 23. The mission life is for 14 earth days or one lunar day after which the lunar night will set in. Since the rover and the lander are solar powered, they will not be able to function during the lunar night

ONAM CELEBRATIONS

Onam Celebrates Our Surrender To The Divine

Οnam marks the annual homecoming of King Mahabali who once ruled the three worlds Though he was an Asura, by virtue of his noble deeds and qualities, he became the ruler of heaven and earth This made the Devas, gods of the celestial world, very insecure According to Bhagavat Purana,as a result ,Aditii, their mother prayed to Bhagwan Vishnu for help. In response he manifested as her son Vamana dwart.

As Mahabali was performing sacrifice rituals and offering gifs, Vamana appeared and asked for some land only as much as he could measure in three steps. Mahabali agreed. Vamana then began to grow in size and measured the heaven in one stop the earth in another and asked the king where to his third step. Unperturbed, the generous Asura King offered his Head for the third step Pleased by his sense of surrender and sacrifice, Vamana blessed him.

Despite being from the clan of demons Mahabali  was hailed for his noble and generous qualities a master of the three worlds, he did not consider himself as their possessor, though he owned the whole world, he stood detached from item ,even though he was an emperor he acted like a renunciant and offered to Bhagwan Vishnu everything he possessed, even himself.

Ramana Maharashi says"When you find it difficult  to pursue the Janana  Marg path of knowledge, that Involves introspection contemplation and self-enquiry, just detach your renounce and surrender "This is what we learn from the abject surrender that Mahabali displaced before Vishnu.

In the Ramayan, Vibhishan could not tolerate Ravan's misdeeds and decided to surender before Ram. Sugreev objected to it but Ram replied, "Whoever comes me for refuge, after leaving all their relations and possessions, I protect them and take care of them”.

Kerala was part of Mahaball's kingdom. Because of his qualities like humbleness and humility the king became the darling of the people of Kerala. Everybody in his kingdom was no discrimination, no crime or corruption. Though he was vested with immense power, there was no occasion for Mahabali to use it. Just as people loved him as a benevolent king Mahabali moved his subjects. Afte his and when Vishnu blessed him and offered him a boon. Mahabali asked to be allowed to visit his people once a year to enquire about their  well being and wish them happiness and prosperity His wish was readily granted. Onam is the day Mahaball is believed to visit his people and bless them.

“Maveli Nadu Vaneedum Kaalam “ a popular Malayalam song celebrates Mahaball's reign, as a time when people considered themselves as one, every heart was filled with love and there was affluence and abundance everywhere.

When the Malayalam month of Chingam dawns, it marks the end of rains and heralds the beginning of a season. of sunny days. Onam is also celeberated as a harvest festival  that tells us what a true devotee should pray for”Iam not highly knowledgeable, I  know not who I am or what my ultimate destination is.I, therefore, surrender unto  your feet, which should take care of me.”

India now has best Moon close up pictures latest update as on 28th August 2023

In a Ist,Vikram sends temp profile of lunar south pole

Records 60 degree celcius at Surface to minus 10 degree celcius Underground

In the first data officially announced from the south pole of the Moon since Chandrayaan 3 ‘s  lander Vikram made a flawless landing there,ISRO said on Sunday the Lander’s payload has recorded the temperature profile of the lunar  topsoil , or how temperature varies at the lunar surface and deeper inside. This is the first such profile of the lunar south pole

The Landers Chandra Surface thermophysical experiment (ChaSTE) payload has a temperature probe equipped with a controlled penetration mechanism capable of reaching a depth of 10 cm beneath the surface. The probe is fitted with 10 individual temperature sensors.

Rover Pragyan was deployed after Vikram’s successful landing four days ago.All five ISRO payloads on the lander and rover have begun in situ experiments and their performance has been normal.

Data from the payload on the propulsion module has also begun reaching the ground stations and ISRO is expected to continue making announcements about it.

Rover Pragyan surmounts first lunar obstacle

Pragyan, the Chandrayaan 3 rover has negotiated its first surface obstacles – a lunar crater with a depth of around 100mm to the relief of the ISRO control room back that will have to continue guiding and monitoring it through several such challenges.

explore water on the moon for a  colony

THE MOON IS TIED TO TIDAL MOVEMENTS ON EARTH- BUT COULD IT ALSO HAVE ITS OWN WATER RESOURCES CHANDRAYAAN 3 CAN HELP DISCOVER THIS

Chandrayaan 3 is a spectacular achievement and proud moment for all Indians , both in the country and around the world.

Chandrayaan 3 is ia truly a ground breaking feat they have landed on the south pole of the moon which has never been achieved before .Spectroscopy and other evidence indicate the presence of water at higher concentrations near the south pole-it will be very interesting if the Pragyan rover can identify that along side recording this area’s mineral chemistry .Water could potentially supply fuel for rockets, oxygen for astronauts or drinking water.A cornerston

e of space exploration is to establish a colony on the moon for humans.Chandrayaan 3 is very important to study this now.

The success of Chandrayaan 3 is a testament to Research Organisation (ISRO)- INDIA HAS NOW ESTABLISHED ITSELF AS A WORLD LEADER IN SPACE EXPLORATION

AFTER MOON,ISRO EYES SUN  ADITYA TO BE LAUNCH IN SEPTEMBER

A RAKHI MADE OF A SILVER COIN ON SUCCESSFUL OF THE CHANDRAYAAN 3 THEME IN SURAT,INDIA

After Moon, Isro sets its sight on Sun as the space agency gears up to launch Aditya Li mission two weeks from now. Isro chair man S Somanath said the "Ad- tiya Li mission is in the works and will be ready for launch in the first week of September".

The spacecraft will embark on a 127-day-long journey to re- ach its destination, which will cover a distance of nearly 15 lakh km from the Earth.

Aditya Li will be the first space-based Indian mission to will be placed in a halo orbit around the Lagrange point 1 (a) of the Sun-Earth system. According to an Isro official,

A satellite placed in the ha- lo orbit around the L1 point has the major advantage of contin- uously viewing the Sun with out any occultation or eclips es. This will provide a greater advantage of observing the so- lar activities and its effect on space weather in real time.

The biggest challenge is the distance of the Sun from the Earth (approx 15 crore km on average, compared to only 3.8 lakh km to the Moon). Due to the risks involved, payloads in earlier Isro missions have lar gely remained stationary in sp- ace. However, Aditya Ll will ts, which increase the risks of collision. Other issues are su- per hot temperatures and radi ation in the solar atmosphere.

RESPECT FOR LAC VITAL FOR TIES TO BE NORMAL

Maintainance of  peace in the border areas and respect for the LAC are essential prerequisites for normalisation of Sino-Indian ties that remain in deep freeze because of the unresolved military standoff in eastern Ladakh, PM Narendra Modi told President Xi Jinping in a "conversation" on the margins of the Brics summit and ahead of the G20 leaders' meet.

Modi and Xi who had bilateral meeting in November 2019 spoke at Bali G20 summit, too, last year. Howe ver, while they agreed in Bali that it was important to improve ties, the PM on this occasion went a step further and reiterated Modi and Xi, who last had a rated India's position.

Military talks between In- dia and China are on and both sides are hopeful of a positive development ahead of the G20 summit that India will host on September 9-10. Despite the bi- lateral differences, India would also ideally like Xi to come for what is the most signifi- cant multilateral event it will host in decades, if not ever. Jo- hannesburg was also the third time Modi and Xi came face to Srinaga face since the Galwan clash in trative co June 2020, after the SCO sum- Manoj Si mit in Samarkand last year Thursday and the G20 Bali summit.

CHANDRAYAAN 3 BIG DAY NASA AND ESA HAVE KEY ROLES update as on 23rd August 2023

CHANDRAYAAN 3 BIG DAY

NASA AND ESA HAVE KEY ROLES

FOR CELESTIAL SUPPORT: Monks offer prayers during a 'Ganga Aarti' in Rishikesh on Tuesday for Chandrayaan-3's safe landing

With the Chand- rayaan-3 lander's soft landing on Moon scheduled at 6.04pm on Wednesday, brothers-in- arms Nasa and European Spa- ce Agency (ESA)-which have been continuously lending support to Isro in tracking the spacecraft during its 3.84-lakh- km journey to the Moon from the Earth will on Wednesday play a key role in communica- ting with the lander module during the final descent phase.

Isro operates a 32-metre de- ep space tracking station in Byalalu, a little-known village in Karnataka, that enables it to locate, track, command and re- ceive telemetry and scientific data from its spacecraft.

Support from other space agencies comes in handy when Isro's operators need to track or command a space- craft outside the field of view of this antenna.

While Nasa has a deep spa- ce network comprising an ar- ray of giant radio antennas si- tuated at different corners of the world, ESA has its own in- ternational satellite tracking network called Estrack. Est- rack is a global system of ground stations providing links between satellites in orbit and the European Space Opera- tions Centre (ESOC) in Darm- stadt, Germany. The core Est- der modules. rack network comprises seven stations in seven countries.

On Chandrayaan-3 final descent and rover operation, the ESA said, "It will support the lander during the entire phase of Lunar surface operations, helping to ensure that science data acquired by the rover arrives safely with ISRO in India.

ESA'S 15-metre antenna in Kourou, French Guiana, was used to track Chandrayaan-3 after its launch, to ensure that the spacecraft survived the ri- gours of lift-off and was in go- od health as it began its journey to the Moon. As the space- craft receded from the Earth, ESA coordinated tracking support from the 32-metre an- tenna operated by Goonhilly Earth Station Ltd in the UK. Goonhilly supported Chand- rayaan-3's propulsion and lander modules.

Data and telemetry sent back by Chandrayaan-3 arri- ving via Kourou and Goonhil- ly is first forwarded to ESOC. "The European stations will complement support from NA- SA's deep space net- work and Isro's own stations to ensure the operators never lose sight of their moon craft.

CHANDRAYAAN 3 UPDATE AS ON 23RD AUGUST 2023 CLIMAX ON MOON

CLIMAX ON MOON

LAST MINUTES OF LANDING

Isro will attempt to land Vikram on Moon at 6.04pm. The landing module will be at an altitude of 25km when the power descent phase begins. This involves a set of complex tasks. If all goes according to plan, here's how Chandrayaan-3 will touch down the lunar surface

Successful Chandrayaan 3 will Mark THE FIRST SPACECRAFT LANDING ON LUNAR SOUTHPOLE WHERE UNKNOWNS LURK IN DARK

T Vikram soft lands on Moon on Wednesday, India would be the only nation to mark its presence in the south polar region of Earth's natural satellite Rusata's Lana 35, which was on its way to the south pole, crash-landed on Sunday

INDIA WOULD BE THE ONLY NATION TO MARK ITS PRESENCE IN THE SOUTH POLAR REGION OF EARTH’S NATURAL SATELLITE.

Since Russia hard landed its Lana 2 on Moon on September 12, 1950, there have been scores of successful Junar missions including six manned missions. Except two of them, all had landed on the equatorial region of Moon. Chandrayaan will be attempting to touch down around 60 degrees south, 100km awayfrom Chandrayaan-2's landing site

Two missions had landed away from the lunar equator Nasa's Surveyor 7 landed 41 degrees south latitude on Janu ary 10, 1968, and China's Chang'e 4 landed 45 degrees south on January 3, 2019, on the far side of Moon.

The lunar south pole, which is hidden from Earth's view, has remained unex plored. Filled with craters and trenches as well, many parts of the region are in per petual darkness. Scientists believe it holds reduce it water ice in regions that have not had sun light. Water ice in significant quantities could be a stepping stone to future crewed missions as the water ice could be used to extract oxygen and fuel.

Temperature in the shadowed regions of the lunar south pole craters may be as low as-205 deg C, and hence they may con- tain fossil records of hydrogen, water ice and other volatiles that may hold clues to early life "At the lunar south pole, the sun hovers below or just above the horizon, resulting in temperatures upwards of 54 deg C during sunlit periods During these periods of illumination, soaring moun tains cast dark shadows and deep craters protect perpetual darkness in their abyss" the US Space Agency said on its website.

ROUGH BRAKING ALTITUDE HOLDING

Begins at 25m with Vikram's orientation being horizontal. After the end of this phase, which will around 980 secs (around 115 mins), Vikram reaches an altitude of At 7.4km, the lander holds the altitude for about 10 secs before going down to 5.5km.

FINE BRAKING

This phase begins at an altitude of 6.8km. About 175 secs (around 29 mins)later, Vikram reaches an altitude of 800m

Now the lander hovers for 12 secs. In another 131 secs (around 2.2 mins), it reaches an altitude of around 150m

TERMINAL DESCENT

This is the most crucial part of the landing whenVikram hovers for around 22 secs at 150m and checks for boulders, craters or other obstacles Based on hazard verification, Vikram either continues vertical descent or chooses an alternative site a few metres away. If it does thelatter, there will be a delay of 52 secs

In the next 38 secs, Vikram reaches an altitude of 60m and descends to 10m above the From 10m, Vikram takes 9 seconds to soft-land on Moon

The most critical part of the landing is the process of reducing the velocity the tander from 30km height to the final landing site. At 25km to 30kn, the lander is horizontal. Transferring it from horotal orientation to vertical is very challenging we had problems bere with Chandrayaan-2 We have to ensure that not too much fuel is consumed, the distance is calculated correctly, all algorithms work for this we've changed the guidance design introduced newer algorithms and extensive simulations havebeen done.

Jio Financial shares hit 5% lower circuit on mkt debut

Shares of Jio Fi- nancial Services, which was spun off from Reliance Indu- stries in July, fell nearly 5% on Monday at its trading debut.

The stock hit the 5% lower circuit-the most it can fall in a day-to close at Rs 252 on the BSE. The stock is likely to have faced selling pressure from passive funds ahead of its ex- clusion from indices including the sensex and Nifty after three trading days, analysts said.

"The listing was below street expectations. Jio Fi nancial will face short-term selling pressure as the street has assumed the fair value of the shares to be Rs 150-180 apie- ce." As per the source information.

BRICS SUMMIT :Brics Expansion, National Currency Use Top Agenda

Brics Expansion, National Currency Use Top Agenda

India has positive intent and an open mind on Brics Expansion

Expansion of brics and the use of national currency are among the key agenda listed for the 15thBrics Summit beginning Tuesday in Johannesburg

Earlier, India's Brics, Sherpa Dam- mu Ravi, stated that there were many issues that were being discussed by the Brics states and that the expan- sion of Brics was on the agenda. Ravi mentioned that the use of national currency for trading and economic activity among the Brics countries is also on the Summit's agenda.

India has been "constructive" on the expansion issue, according to Ravi. As far as the inclusion of na- tional currency in trading is concer- ned, he said, it is not new and it has already happened.

"There is an opportunity for tra- ding in your national currency. All the Brics countries together will ta- ke this decision and discuss that they can trade in their national cur- rency in these Brics countries," ac- cording to Ravi.

Among prospective new members of Brics are India's close partners in bi the Gulf and Latin America including Saudi Arabia UAE ,Iran and Argentina

The Theme of the Brics Summit this year is BRICS AND AFRICA:PARTNERSHIP FOR MUTUALLY ACCELERATED GROWTH,SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND INCLUSIVE MULTILATERALISM.

WALL ST 22-51

Wall street traded mixed on Monday and held a bit steadier after sliding for 3 straight week.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 94 points or 0.3%, at 34,406, as of 1:54 pm. Eastern time, and the Nasdaq composite was 1.3% higher The S&P 500 was up 0.4% in afternoon trading.

Economists at Bank of America, meanwhile ,say there’s a chance that Powell will say every upcoming meeting of the Fed has a possibill- ty to see a hike in interest rates given how strong recent economic reports have been. For all the anticipation about Powell's speech, he may not end up sending a strong signal out of Jackson Hole, according to Gold- man Sachs

"We think Powell's tone at Jackson Hole will be less balanced than the July FOMC minutes," they wrote in a BofA Global Research report.

The economy has remained remarkably resilient despite much higher interest rates. While the solid job market and spending by U.S. households eases long-held worries about a possible reces sion, they could also add upward pressure on inflation.

Higher yields are good for bond investors, who get paid more in interest for their investments. But it also makes investors less willing to pay high prices for stocks and other investments that are less steady than US government bonds.

Goldman's CEO is stuck without a clear lifeline

Goldman's CEO is stuck. without a clear lifeline

One day in mid-June, Lloyd Blankfein called David Solomon, CEO of Goldman Sachs Solomon had not been expecting it.

Blankfein, a big Goldman shareholder and Solomon's predecessor, had lost$50 million since January on his stake because of the bank sinking stock .He made it clear to Solomon that his patience was waning according to three people briefed on the more hands-on advice, or even return to the firm in any capacity that might help, the people said.

However, Goldman's troubles have raised questions about the future of Solomon's leadership. Even his own friends lament that his side gig as an amateur DJ has become a needless distraction. Solomon has also attracted criticism for jet-setting trips, including to private resorts owned by a company in which he has personally invested

Correction mode

Solomon isn't oblivious to his weak points, according to his friends and current and former Goldman colleagues, who say the Goldman chief is aware of and bothered by his unpopularity. He has taken to asking people inside and outside the firm on how he might address his behaviour, recognising that it's not just Goldman's partners, former business that needs correcting.
