Match The Wavelength, Flow Like A
Stream
According news writer Arup Mitra

The logicality which is involved in following
the derivations of mathematical/statistical sciences is the same as that of
pursuing the rhythm in music and dance. The first-time derivation of a density
function and moment generating function of a random variable is a discovery –not
innovation-because for a technical person it is the realisation of something
which already exists. It is through the matching of the
wavelength that one is able to perceive what flows like a stream. The analogy
can be drawn to explain how rhythm works in us.
In fact, nothing exists without a cadence:
starting from an atom to huge planets, everything is being set in a rhythmic
motion. Because of this rhythm, the universe is a cosmos and not a chaos. The
lord of the universe is conceptualised as a dancing manifestation- Nataraj:
life and death, the twins, dance with every movement of the supreme dancer, as
Tagore perceived.
It is the merging of the unheard and what can
be TREE experienced through sense organs that gives us satiety. The inner spirit
in us is restlessness, we try to trace the right track. Once one among us
achieves it, the others also benefit. The Puranas say
that Bhagirath with his untiring patience and perseverance brought the Ganga to
the planes true, if the Ganga of knowledge can be discovered by one, many
others can benefit.
All this concept of rhythm is not complex to
understand. A little silence, a little withdrawal from the madding crowd is
required to realise. Otherwise, the enormous potential of the mind remains lost
in the midst of the daily trifles. Dhyan is nothing but a method to tune
ourselves to catch the wavelength of that implicit rhythm which is in play in a
continuous manner.
The greatest joy emanates as we are
able to get that internal rhythm to flow in our day-to-day activity. This
entails the creation of a new world because the internal rhythm is
all-inclusive; it cannot entertain selfishness. In the welfare of the larger
entity is involved the individual well-being: the vice versa may be true in a
highly limited sense. Spiritualism always addresses the vast.
